New version of PREDICT released on June 24, 2003. Last ebuild in portage is for v2.2.1. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: http://www.qsl.net/kd2bd/predict.html
Updated, thanks for reporting. Please test since there were a few changes necessary.
vocalizer is broke - error messages on direct invocation: *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/intro.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/hundred.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/twenty.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/three.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/azimuth.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/four.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/hundred.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/fifty.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/six.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/elevation.wav" *** vocalizer: Cannot open "/use/share/predict/vocalizer/approaching.wav" I think it's just a path misspell.
The files are there on my system - could you please check if they exist in the place where it tries to find them, and make an attachment with the full "emerge predict" output if they aren't there?
Files are present but they're sitting in /usr/share/predict/vocalizer as opposed to the /use/share/predict/vocalizer/ that the program is calling.
I had to read it several times before I noticed that it was "use" instead of "usr" . New -r1 also puts the vocalizer binary into /usr/bin where it belongs. Thanks!
