There's a new version of qlandkartegt, simply renaming the ebuild works fine
for me (amd64).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Rename qlandkartegt-0.18.1.ebuild to qlandkartegt-0.18.5.ebuild
2. ebuild qlandkartegt-0.18.5.ebuild digest
3. Install qlandkartegt-0.18.5

Actual Results:  
Works for me

Expected Results:  
Should work

sci-geosciences/qlandkartegt-0.19.0 released.
Renaming still works fine.

Renaming works for me too (0.19.2) but it needs a newer gpsd than 2.32.
Some in the forums on sourceforge projects page of qlandkarte recommends gpsd-2.95.

Where did you get the dependency on gpsd from? I haven't it installed at all.

It seems that 1.0.1 is out for two weeks now, I haven't had time to test if the old ebuild still works for that though.

Actually the renamed 0.18.1 ebuild works for me.

I guess the mixed results about gpsd come from some automagic configure (or rather cmake) routine.
