Ada core has released a new version of this package. If no one is interested in packaging, I might try looking into packaging the new version.
I am interested by this version. Is there an ebuild available ?
Please let me know how this is going. I use Gnat quite a bit, but have not been able to get either of the Gentoo packages (gnat-gpl or gnat-gcc) to re-emerge on my x86-64 system for several months now.
I am working on update. However there are issues with 4.4 changes and a kind of stopper related to the change in how zlib seems to be treated in recent versions. You can take a look at bug #276568 for more detail. Anyway, I recently did a quick basic bump to gnat-gcc-4.3.5 which goes around this by simply deleting in-tree zlib. I don't see any ill effects myself, however I would prefer some extra testing. Could somebody please let me know if receently added 4.3.5 builds and whether you had any issues using the produced compiler?
I made gnat-gpl-2010 ebuild in my ada_ru portage overlay http://www.ada-ru.org/gentoo/overlay.xml There are x86_64 and i686 versions for now. Note, gnatboot-4.3-amd64.tar.bz2 differs from gentoo mirrors and should be downloaded from http://www.ada-ru.org/files/gentoo/gnatboot-4.3-amd64.tar.bz2 Please take a look
GNAT-GPL 2011 is also out: http://libre.adacore.com/libre/download2 Any progress?
(In reply to comment #5) > GNAT-GPL 2011 is also out: http://libre.adacore.com/libre/download2 As is GNAT-GPL 2012.
And now 2013 at http://libre.adacore.com/download/configurations.
