Description Jeff 2003-11-10 03:25:23 UTC
When scanning using xsane 0.91 (from 1.4) on an HP5370C (using hpusbscsi
module), corruption occurs. The preview display primarily static, but the scan
will generate a picture. The picture is skewed as the image data is one pixel
short per scan line. I confirmed this by writing a perl script to change the
width field in a pnm file to one pixel less. This produces the correct image. I
have checked the FAQs etc, and nobody else seems to have this. Any clues?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.recompile kernel with hpusbscsi as module
2.emerge xsane from the 1.4 distro
3.after setting permissions etc, run xsane and previes (bug 1)
4.scan and view the result (bug 2)

Actual Results:
image corruption

Expected Results:
image scanned correctly

No errors reported - just image corruption

Is this still an issue with xsane-0.96?

User has a new scanner and can't test it. Closing.
