Description Jens Gruentjes 2010-08-05 10:59:55 UTC
Even if I choose "Always sort dirs by name" in the menu Settings -> Configure Krusader -> Panel -> View, Krusader always sorts directories like files. Re-Emerging krusader did not solve the problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start krusader
2. Go to Settings -> Configure Krusader -> Panel -> View
3. Choose "Always sort dirs by name"
4. Sort a folder (which has subfolders and files) by date. The directories are sorted just like the files and not by name

Actual Results:
Directories are sorted like files.

Expected Results:
Directories are sorted by name.

Hmm, this looks more like upstream bug. Sadly they are quite unresponsive, normaly i would recommend to report it on their bugzilla, but god knows now active they become in last months :/
Comment 2 Jens Gruentjes 2010-08-10 09:14:24 UTC
I thought that it could be a Gentoo issue as the krusader people write in their changelog for version 2.0.0-beta1 "Phoenix Egg":
FIXED: [ 1736496 ] always sort dirs by name not working

I tested it on a kubuntu 10.04 and always sorting directories by name worked. The version used in kubuntu is krusader 2.0.0 "Mars Pathfinder", maybe that's the point?
Comment 3 Theo Chatzimichos (RETIRED) archtester gentoo-dev Security 2011-01-13 02:51:33 UTC
still valid for 2.3.0_beta1?
Comment 4 Jens Gruentjes 2011-01-13 11:07:05 UTC
Yes, for me the bug is still valid in 2.3.0_beta1.
Comment 5 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2011-07-11 19:45:26 UTC
Can you please try 2.4.0_beta1?
Comment 6 Jens Gruentjes 2011-07-11 21:34:33 UTC
Sorry, I can't as I recently switched to Kubuntu.
Comment 7 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2011-07-12 07:36:57 UTC
Ah well... thanks anyway.
