When I run on it on x86 I get;
bibus
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/bibus/bibus.py", line 21, in <module>
    import os, sys, gettext, locale, ConfigParser, csv
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/gettext.py", line 49, in <module>
    import locale, copy, os, re, struct, sys
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/locale.py", line 202, in <module>
    import re, operator
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.6/lib-dynload/operator.so: undefined symbol: _PyUnicodeUCS4_AsDefaultEncodedString

The current stable fails with the same error. I happened to stabilize 1.5.1 before you sent this comment (sorry). I'm not sure if it's worth to revert that given that the old version has the same problem.

Actually, I have tried re-emerging python:2.6 and made sure to revdep-rebuild. Still fails. Should we CC python?

This has been stabilized on x86 long time ago.
