I would like to request Fritzing (http://fritzing.org/, an open-source initiative to support designers, artists, researchers and hobbyists to work creatively with interactive electronics. We are creating a software and website in the spirit of Processing and Arduino, developing a tool that allows users to document their prototypes, share them with others, teach electronics in a classroom, and to create a pcb layout for professional manufacturing) for portage. It is now with version fritzing-0.3.13b in the qting-edge overlay. I created a fritzing-0.4.1b.ebuild. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 241393 [details] fritzing-0.4.1b.ebuild
Created attachment 245424 [details] fritzing-0.4.2b.ebuild Version bump. However, neither ebuild works entirely correctly because they never install the standard "parts" library. Fritzing's routine to look for the parts library is a bit funky, so once I figure out where it's looking for the parts, I can figure out where to tell the ebuild to put them.
Created attachment 252873 [details] fritzing-0.4.3b-r1.ebuild I've modified Soren's ebuild to install to /opt/fritzing including parts, bins, translations and sketches. The fritzing program normally searches the same dir as the executable is in for these directories which is why I chose a /opt dir. A symlink from /usr/bin/fritzing to /opt/fritzing/Fritzing is created too.
I installed fritzing-0.5.2 by renaming Joakim's ebuild. I get something weird: at startup, the height of the fritzing window is 600px and I can resize it, but its width is larger than the screen size (1200 px) when it should be 840 px by default, and I cannot resize it. It is on an ~amd64 system running fvwm and xorg-1.10.1. Someone else is experimenting this behaviour?
Created attachment 282811 [details] combined ebuild for fritzing 0.6.2b and svn trunk I updated the ebuild to support all fritzing releases from 0.4.0b to 0.6.2b as well as latest svn trunk, if the ebuild is named "fritzing-9999.ebuild". I also made further version bumps easier (imo).
Just added it to gentoo-x86 so feel free to remove the one from the qting-edge overlay. Thanks.
