I have a P4P8x mobo - installed the GRP - pentium4-1.4-20030911-cd1.iso pentium4-1.4-20030911-cd2.iso onboard NIC not supported - downloaded driver from ASUS site - http://www.asus.com.tw/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=P4P8X&Type=All&SLanguage=en-us selected the 0.46_Linux.zip. On running make I get a : unresolved symbol: __udivdi3 On googling all references sound like this is a djgpp problem not something i'd see on a linux box. Any thoughts would be appreciated
Just for grins I downloaded and compiled on my Suse 8.1 instance. It compiled with no linker warnings.. Also - the board is "certified" as per http://www.linuxtested.com/results/Asus_P4P8X.html on Redhat 9.0, Suse 8.2, Caldera 4.0 SP1 and Turbo 7.0 .. not sure what the differences are between those kernels and what is on the 1.4 image.
This is likely because no "mrproper" was done before building. To my knowledge, new genkernels do a mrproper now.
still an issue?
Please reopen if issue still remains
