I have a new HP ScanJet 7400c and I tried to use it with current stable sane-backends 1.0.19-r2 (avision backend).
The scanner is correctly detected but fail to scan. I tried with media-gfx/sane-backends-1.0.21 and everything goes well.

It's my first "stabilization request" so I don't know if "work better than current stable" is a good reason.

This is overdue for several months. No serious problems older versions don't have, only slight modifications in the last months.

install correctly on amd64 but i've not hardware for test it
