psprinter patch

This patch allows qpsprinter to generate output using TTC (true type
collection) fonts, OTF fonts, and certain japanese fonts by running them
through the freetype library.

fontdatabase i18n patch

This patch allows for i18n-ized font names to show up in font dialogs, but
does
not break backwards compatibility with ascii font names. Also makes sure
Japanese dual-width monospace fonts are treated as monospace fonts (so that
one
can use them in konsole, for example)
Comment 4 Ken Deeter 2003-11-09 02:57:14 UTC
These two patches are considered stable. Theres one line in the ebuild that
I commented out (and didn't attach) because it caused some weird behaviour
on my machine.
Comment 5 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-14 06:20:50 UTC
I've just updated to 3.2.3 - let me know if the patches still cleanly apply there as well and I'll put them in.
Comment 6 Ken Deeter 2003-11-15 02:13:40 UTC
looks like only the fontdatabase patch applies cleanly, so if you could put that in, that would be great. I'll post another report when the patch author updates the other patch(es) for 3.2.3 or later.
Comment 7 Ken Deeter 2003-12-04 21:39:08 UTC
renaming to reflect qt update

This patch fixes some compatibility with some older Japanese fonts.

Comment 12 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-05 06:06:41 UTC
Okay, patched up (with minor modifications to the namings). thanks for the report.
Comment 13 Ken Deeter 2003-12-05 21:35:48 UTC
Hi, sorry, i just realized the IUSE doesn't include a 'cjk' ..

also could the ebuild be bumped to r1?

Comment 14 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-29 16:03:45 UTC
should all be fixed in the 3.2.x series
