Description Ilya Hegai 2010-07-30 09:09:07 UTC
That version of cairo causes firefox to show blank areas or entire blank page after scrolling or windows switching, easy to produce on javascript overbloated sites like google reader

1.8.8 is ok

Just guessing, but would it be necessary to recompile xulrunner/ff after this cairo update? can't verify, I use 1.9.12 from gnome-overlay

I need you all to specify which version of firefox/xulrunner your running. This is already fixed in 1.9.2.x, we do not support any other version of xulrunner in the tree.

We're having this same issue,
xulrunner 1.9.2.8

This is the latest version available. The five packages that aren't at the latest version (but will soon be) are:
pax-utils
m4
freetype
adobe-flash
poppler

I hope this gets solved soon for all of us.

Please provide emerge -pv cairo
Comment 9 jrvanwhy 2010-08-18 15:54:30 UTC
The "doc" use flag is not in make.conf nor reported in emerge --info. It is possible it was previously marked as "-doc".

$ emerge -pv cairo

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

I think it is problem between fglrx and cairo. Firefox/Seamonkey works perfect with radeon/radeonhd and cairo-1.8.10. The problem is only exist when change radeon/radeonhd to fglrx.

ps: sry for my english
Comment 11 Philipp Riegger 2010-09-09 19:43:22 UTC
I have the same problem, I run ~amd64, synced the tree about 20 hours ago and just ran emerge -e firefox.
Comment 12 Jory A. Pratt gentoo-dev 2010-09-26 18:05:29 UTC
Is there anyone not using fglrx that is experiencing this issue? If not please re-assign the bug to fglrx maintainer and let see what upstream has to say about it.
Comment 13 Philipp Riegger 2010-09-26 21:50:50 UTC
I do not use fglrx. I use x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati.

Are we still seeing same issue in firefox-7?
