Here's an ebuild for IcoConvert 2.0. It's a utility to convert windows icons to png files preserving the transparency, in particular it handles the 32 bit WinXP icons correctly. It's web page is http://www.mox.net/ and it depends upon version 2 of the GD library.

What does icoconvert have to offer over media-gfx/icoutils which is already in portage? Just curious.
The version of icoutils in portage doesn't handle 32 bit icons or images over 255 x 255 correctly. However the version of icoutils in portage is 0.17.0 which is a year old, version 0.22.0 can handle the bove correctly. So maybe it would be better to update the version of icoutils in portage?
0.22.0 is in portage. It's marked ~x86. I put it there several hours ago. ;-) Care to try it out and see if it meets your needs?
The program does what it should ;) But i can't test the ebuild since it's yet to reach my local portage mirror
Steven - how's it going there with the icoutils testing? Still not available or does that work for you. If icoconvert isn't needed I'll close this bug.
Works fine, thanks
Great! Guess that qualifies as FIXED.
