After updating firefox to 3.6.4 and after that to 3.6.7 it's process: plugin-container always eats near ~40-50% of more two core CPU's time. This is reducing work time from battery a lot. I can fix it by disabling Shockwave Flash plugin (10.1 r53). Reproducible: Always

We'll need more information about where the flash player plugin is loaded from, what other settings you have, whether embedded flash apps on web pages are otherwise usable (bug #321465) and what have you.
>We'll need more information about where the flash player plugin is loaded from, >what other settings you have, I have www-plugins/adobe-flash-10.1.53.64 www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.6.7 installed by emerge on my 32bit system, I did not change any settings in firefox or flash plugin, before I see this problem (I used opera before). After I saw this problem, I try to disable plugin container, via about:config, but instead of plugin-container, firefox by itself begin eat CPU. >whether embedded flash apps on web pages are >otherwise usable (bug #321465) and what have you. I can control video on youtube. The most bad thing, that I now dig into some developer's blogs on livejournal.com, and its advertisment video, even if not played cause plugin-container eat CPU, for example the random link (advertisment seems context depending, by format I suppose the same): http://test1.livejournal.com/444.html
Problem is flash in about:config set dom.ipc.plugins.enable.libflashplayer.so:false nothing we can do with a flash plugin issue when it is adobe binary.
