Description Graeme Humphries 2003-11-07 17:04:31 UTC
I'm running fam-oss-2.6.9-r3 and nautilus-2.4.0. After I access a file on a CD,
fam appears to be holding onto access to that CD, preventing me from unmounting
and ejecting it (via nautilus). When I attempt to eject the CD, nautilus reports
"Device still in use", and lsof shows that fam is the program still using it.

Switching to root and restarting fam frees up the device and allows me to eject
it, but this is hardly optimal.

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 Alastair Tse (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-08 07:57:41 UTC
can you give fam-2.6.10-r1 a try?

Comment 2 Graeme Humphries 2003-11-08 10:57:46 UTC
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -p "app-admin/fam-oss-2.6.10-r1"

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "app-admin/fam-oss-2.6.10-r1".

I'll try it again in a couple days.. apparently that ebuild hasn't worked
its way to the rsync mirrors I've been using.
Comment 3 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-08 11:39:13 UTC
Same problem here with 2.6.10-r1
Comment 4 Stephane Loeuillet 2003-12-08 13:40:08 UTC
still there with 2.7.0 ?
Comment 5 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-08 14:38:39 UTC
Seems to work for me now with fam 2.7.0
Comment 6 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-08 14:49:54 UTC
yeah that was why i added 2.7.0 really, only forgot to post here :)

could reproduce with 2.6.10, not with 2.7.0
Comment 7 Graeme Humphries 2003-12-08 15:03:31 UTC
Yeah, WFM in 2.7.0 as well, so I guess we can count this as fixed upstream.
