Description Ioannis Aslanidis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-07 14:14:28 UTC
The latest version of msn4lin in portage still doesn't support the new MSNP9
protocol for MSN. I still doubt wether they did update teir protocol. Anyway,
what shall happen with this ebuild?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:
msn4lin doesn't have the new MSN protocol and doesn't connect to the MSN network

Expected Results:
msn4lin should have been updated with the new protocol in order to achieve
connection to the MSN network

The current msn4lin is the tcl version which has been left by the author. The updated version is the c++ one and should work with the new MSN protocol.

Bellow is a list of the sources:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/msn4lin/msn4lin-c++-0.2a.tar.bz2?download

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/msn4lin/msn4lin-c++-0.2a.tar.gz?download

In order to compile it one must do: CC=c89 CFLAGS=-O2 LIBS=-lposix ./configure

Changelog inside traball.

Please update protage tree.
