Something seems to be pulling gtk3 in the deptree as well :( Though that might not be the core problem, as gtk2 include paths are given first (but a problem nevertheless). Perhaps that -DGSEAL_ENABLED is being naughty in a release version as well? (that comment targeted to co-maintainers)

> -I/usr/lib64/gtk-3.0/include -I/usr/include/gtk-3.0 Mixing stuff has it's price. Probably, if both are being included, those included later in command line win (as gtk-3.0 is hard-GSEALed by design).
man gcc: "If you use more than one -I option, the directories are scanned in left-to-right order; the standard system directories come after." That's why I'm saying it's a problem in itself (suggesting runtime library mixing as well, which can outright crash or even worse - cause mysterious bugs), but probably not the cause of the build failure in particular

Have you tried to build this with gcc-4.4 instead of 4.5?
(In reply to comment #9) > Have you tried to build this with gcc-4.4 instead of 4.5? I did with 4.4.4 and ran into the same error. On a side note, I also have the gnome overlay enabled and unmasked, i.e. GTK+ 3.0 installed.

I'm suspecting the gtk-3.0 dependency creeps in from nautilus: /usr/lib64/pkgconfig/libnautilus-extension.pc [snip] Name: libnautilus-extension Description: A library to create Nautilus view extensions Version: 2.31.5 Requires: glib-2.0 gio-2.0 gtk+-3.0 [/snip]

the package installed successfully recently with gcc updated from 4.5.0 to 4.5.1 and with system and world update.
Closing FIXED per previous report.
