I was told to reemerge mknfonts. I've downgraded gnustep-base/gnustep-base to 1.18 and upgraded to 1.20.1 again. Now the emerge of gnustep-base/gnustep-back-art works. Anyway, works for me ;-)
Yes, gnustep-back-art needs mknfonts while emerging, which in turn links to gnustep-base... and as they change library version on every release... Sometimes I wonder if it would not be worthwile compiling a temp version of mknfonts while emerging gnustep-back-art (it's really small program), to ease upgrades
