Description Chuck Wegrzyn 2010-07-20 23:25:33 UTC
After the latest emerge --sync and emerge -avDuN world, kopete was built. Initially I have all the accounts marked as offline. One by one I turn them online to test out the software.

This time, when I put a google talk account online the application terminates.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start kopete, 1.0.0
2. create a google talk account
3. make it online

Actual Results:
crashes.

Expected Results:
To work.

1. Need output of `emerge --info`
2. If you just upgraded dev-libs/openssl, try recompiling qt-core, libmsn and kopete.
3. If it wasn't 2., then need full backtrace[1]

Reopen once you have provided the required information.

Thanks for the info on openssl, I'll try it.

I went to the kde.org bug site and it appears this problem is known.

Comment 4 Chuck Wegrzyn 2010-08-03 16:09:17 UTC
It turns out that openssl was upgraded to openssl-1.0.0a it left a lot of things unresolved! So doing a revdep-rebuild fixed it all! This is no longer a bug, per se.

Thanks for the feedback. Closing the bug then.
