Description Kobboi 2010-07-19 13:23:09 UTC
Without it, I get the following in the 'Phone search':

Wammu is now searching for phone:
PyBluez not found, it is not possible to scan for Bluetooth devices.
All finished, found 0 phones
No phone has been found!

Reproducible: Always

Pybluez is pulled in as dependency, but only if gnome-bluetooth is not installed. Do you have the latter?

Thomas, do you have pybluez installed? And does it not work at all?
Comment 4 Thomas Capricelli 2010-12-29 20:34:59 UTC
@#1 : sorry for the late answer, i've missed your question. Yes, indeed, i have gnome-bluetooth installed (i dont know why, i dont use gnome, probably because of some other dep. fun stuff).

@#3 : Yes, of course, once pybluez installed it works better. I was just reporting the missing dependancy (hence the title).
Comment 5 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-04-10 16:34:35 UTC
gnome-bluetooth is now used by USE=gnome only, while pybluez is default. Thanks for the patience.
