Description Tomas Caithaml 2010-07-17 21:27:55 UTC
The 7.e. section of Gentoo Handbook (named Kernel Modules) contains information that is now longer valid (at least not for fresh installation).

According to http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/openrc-migration.xml the way to specify the modules that should be loaded automatically has changed with openrc.

It's still correct for stable users. ~arch OpenRC users have their own setup, as detailed in the guide.

The handbook won't be changed, as the stage tarballs and all configs track the stable tree.
