Description Pavel Kazlou 2010-07-14 19:47:00 UTC
Recently I was able to set up internet connection through Huawei terminal ETS 1220. I used the same guides as for other CDMA devices, but had to edit /usr/src/linux/drivers/usb/serial/option.c to add my device's product id as I haven't found it there.
Can this device be added into ditribution?

Huawei ETS 1220 listed as Huawei product: http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/productFeatures.do?pinfoId=2597&treeId=3223&directoryId=2723

Huawei vendor id: 0x12D1
Huawei ETS 1220 product id: 0x1803

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for the report, but Gentoo usually does not include patches for things like this. It needs to be reported upstream, and when it's accepted there and a new kernel is released, gentoo will support it out-of-the box.
