Description Chuck Wegrzyn 2010-07-13 21:27:17 UTC
I updated my system with emerge --sync; emerge -avDuN world which updated a lot of stuff including xorg-server from 1.8.0. When it updated it to 1.8.1.902 the server would crash bringing me back to the kdm login screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.update to xorg-server-1.8.1.902
2.open up firefox
3.attempt to type in a URL.

Actual Results:
Current session is logged out and you are bounced back to the kdm login screen.

Expected Results:
Not to kill my login.

Missing are: Xorg server log, perhaps related dmesg output, gdb backtrace.
Comment 2 Hugo Mildenberger 2010-07-20 18:14:40 UTC
This is probably a duplicate of bug #320055, which almost a month ago (at 2010-06-27 21:29:20 0000, exactly) was again closed with `NEEDINFO'. And self-evidently, it remained closed despite detailed information had been provided by many reporters.
Comment 3 Chuck Wegrzyn 2010-07-20 19:27:12 UTC
Ah, yes you are right. 320055 is exactly the bug.
