Could you please provide a complete list with all the *vdr* stuff that needs to be compiled as well to help us do this stablereq? Thank you

I don't know exactly what you mean. A minimalistic vdr installation should be enough for vdradmin-am to work. E.g. install vdr without any USE flag enabled. Vdradmin-am even works without a vdr installation, this is why the vdr use flag got introduced. See bug #171947.

vdr? ( media-video/vdr )

This will pull a lot of vdr stuff so it will be good to know which exact version of them we should stabilize.

I assume that the latest version of each one of them would be fine

@zzam, hd_brummy: Are there any stabilizations planned on amd64 regarding media-video/vdr. From reading vdr's Changelog you have always done stabilizations yourself but only for x86. Should there be a stable version for vdr on amd64 or should we just mask the vdr use flag for vdradmin-am to get it stable there?

Its to hot in the moment, you know...

We did think about on amd64 stabilizations on "old" vdr-1.6.*
but iam a little bit skarrit for the much work on all the plugins to set the stable on amd64 then.

I think, in the near future, if vdr-1.8.x is on start, we will think about this again.

Back to latest vdradmin-am, if you have running this on vdr-1.6.x, there is no problem to set this stable.

on latest vdr ( 1.6.0_p2-r2, -r3) there is always the not fixed problem

After some discussion on irc we decided to not let vdradmin-am go stable on amd64. Maybe later when there is a stable vdr. Use masking the vdr use flag does not make much sense as well. Thank you and sorry for the noise.
