Description Jacob Godserv 2010-07-13 03:51:42 UTC
Upgrading to 4.4 from 4.3 caused some breaks that I did not anticipate, because I didn't realize upgrading a compiler was such a big deal.

Please provide some kind of attention-grabbing notice to users so they are aware that upgrading gcc is not quite so painless.

Reproducible: Always

You should be familiar with [URL].
Comment 2 Jacob Godserv 2010-07-19 16:20:23 UTC
Every other package actually mentions the upgrade guide. Why doesn't gcc mention it?

This needs further discussion.

the guide was already mentioned, but just for older versions. ive changed it to mention it all the time.
