My modem stopped working after upgrade from 1.2-beta-r1 to 1.2-beta2. I traced the problem to modem_run after failing to make the modem work either with usermode driver with 2.4.20 or the kernelspace and 2.6.0test8-patchset0.1. I also tried various ppp versions to no avail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Upgrade to speedtouch 1.2beta2 2. 3. Actual Results: Modem syncs seemingly normally but cannot pppd establish connection. It seems neither pppoa3 (with 2.4.20 kernel) nor pppoatm.so (2.6.0.t8 kernel) can negotiate a modem port for pppd. Expected Results: The modem should have worked as it did with speedtouch 1.2beta1-r1 and earlier ebuilds. could you please report upstream? I don't have such hardware nor the time to fix that myself if you say that the previous beta was working I'll mask beta2
OK. speedtouch 1.2_beta1-r1 does work for me, as all previous versions did.
