The use-flag 'dvb' which enables Digital Video Broadcasting (TV) support is masked for arm-arches via /usr/portage/profiles/arch/arm/use.mask. The comment is "# havent tested yet", I actually did test it and I can report that it works very fine here on armv7a (IGEPv2). So please remove the flag from use.mask. Thanks in advance! Reproducible: Always
What I actually tested: * Kernel's dvb_usb_dib0700 driver * media-tv/linuxtv-dvb-firmware * media-tv/linuxtv-dvb-headers * media-tv/linuxtv-dvb-apps * media-video/mplayer USE=dvb The device works without problem, the scanning tool from dvb-apps works as expected and I can watch DVB with mplayer.
> The comment is "# havent tested yet", I actually did test it and I can report > that it works very fine Tested and works fine here, too, on armv5tel (Marvell SheevaPlug). Have tested: * dvb_usb_af9015 kernel module * media-tv/linuxtv-dvb-firmware * media-tv/linuxtv-dvb-headers * media-tv/linuxtv-dvb-apps * media-libs/libdvb * media-tv/mythtv-0.22_p24255 All works as expected - can scan for and tune into DVB-T channels, and either record locally or stream the broadcast over the network.
dvb unmasked, thanks for testing
The dvb keyword has recently been masked again, so this bug is open again. Please unmask it.
Not masked for ages.
