Description William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2010-07-08 09:22:36 UTC
I had rkhunter installed on my system, and it was configured correctly
to work with mutt.

The dependencies of rkhunter have been changed now so that it wants to
pull in virtual/mailx. Mutt does not provide this virtual, so portage
was wanting to pull in mail-client/mailx.

Can mutt be used to satisfy this virtual?

Thanks,

William

I'm not familiar with the virtual/mailx virtual. Does it mean a package that can read mbox format from $SPOOL or something?

if you know what needs to be done, feel free to just apply it to the mutt ebuild.

I'm about to roll a new version soon, so could you please tell me what needs to be done in order to fix this bug?

While possible, you would have to patch mutt to see how it was called and adjust behaviour accordingly. Not trivial and we have enough mutt patches already. I would decline.

Ok, I see, it should be a drop-in for mail then. I'm indeed not really looking for more patches for Mutt :/

William: sorry, but I'll close this bug then. Feel free to reopen or poke me if you feel different about this.
