Augustus@linuxhardware.org is interested in becoming a gentoo developer. He has contributed quite a bit to the amd64 port and testing, and has a few outstanding patches on bugs.gentoo.org . I request that we enter his trial/mentoring period for becoming a dev, as I could use all the help I can get on amd64 ;) -Brad brad_mssw@gentoo.org
Done, just waiting on infrastructure to get mail subscriptions done
boo boo ... oh wait, I'm the one that posted this originally ... doh. ..
<@Kugelfang> KingTaco: i just saw that augustus is still listed as an amd64 dev <@Kugelfang> KingTaco: we should probably tell devrel to revoke his account and to retire him <@Kugelfang> KingTaco: he's been inactive since november, 20th 2004 <@Kugelfang> and he did one thing that day in CVS, since July 2004
I'm still around and I do check in new packages from time to time. I'm not very active but I do contribute some. If this is not enough, then do what you have to do. I don't see a reason to remove me though, see ing as I've done nothing wrong and that I do contribute on and off.
BTW, if there is a minimum required to stay a devel, let me know and I'll see if I can contribute more. I'm sorry for my lack of work.
Well, we just thought you were dead and GenBot says you were last on IRC 16 weeks ago :-) You're not dead so this is RESOLVED again.
Developer not AWOL, closing bug as fixed.
FYI: his mail is bouncing badly, I'm yanking his forward. Please let me know on irc when he's fixed it.
Dear Kristopher, Possible retirement pending as you haven't shown any activity few months (according to bugzilla, the last one was 154402: 2006-11-10 07:35:35). If you are just away, then please use the devaway system. Please be advised that devaway may also be considered inactive if it extends past 60 days. Please reply and advise on your situation. Any developer found to be inactive for a period in excess of 60 days is subject to be retired. Please be aware that if we have not heard from you within 2 weeks time, we will begin the retirement process. If we do retire you, it's pretty easy to come back when you are ready. Just do the ebuild/end-quiz again and you're back on.
I will gracefully step aside at this point. I have enjoyed being a dev for some time now, but life keeps pulling me away. I will most likely come back to this one day when time permits. I'm sorry I have not done this by my own free will sooner. Thank you all.
