Description Christopher J. McGovern 2003-11-04 06:05:16 UTC
emerge -up world is failing on ~x86

 emerge -up world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies -
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "~kde-base/kdelibs-3.2.0_beta1" have been masked.
!!! (dependency required by "kde-base/kdeartwork-3.2.0_beta1" [ebuild])

!!! Problem with ebuild kde-base/kdeartwork-3.2.0_beta1
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.

!!! Depgraph creation failed.

Is there another way to mask those ebuilds so they don't kill updating other packages on the system?

kdeartwork is now added to the package mask. Btw. you can localy mask packages
in /etc/portage/package.mask
