Hello, We have some extra bandwith available and would like to apply for dutch rsync mirror. However we would like to be in the *.nl.gentoo.org list only and _not_ in the *.gentoo.org. According to klieber this is possible. Information: ip: 212.79.254.44 host: gentoo.mirror.isp-services.nl contact: f.ferdinand@isp-services.nl Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Just the .nl rotation is fine. I've added 212.79.254.44 to the access list for rsync1.us.gentoo.org. You should be able to sync with rsync1.us within 30 minutes. Please update your rsync cron jobs to point to rsync1.us.gentoo.org and post back here when you've done so. I'll monitor the server for a couple days to make sure things are working fine. Thanks.
Are you syncing with rsync1.us yet?
Yup, since last friday
Looks like there might have been a couple of missed syncs, but nothing major. If no more come up within about 24hrs, I'll add the mirror. Here is what missed. All times UTC: Checked (UTC) Timestamp (Expected) ============================================================ 00:20:31 Sat, 15 Nov 2003 23:20:01 +0000 (23:50) 12:51:19 Mon, 17 Nov 2003 11:50:01 +0000 (12:20)
I'm going to add this server to the .nl rotation on a trial basis. It appears to be missing some sycns. It could be my connection or the master mirrors though. This server is now rsync5.nl.gentoo.org. Please update the motd file to include that information. I've subscribed <frido@zolder.net> to our gentoo-mirrors mailing list (low volume). This list is used to discuss mirror-related issues. Thanks for supporting Gentoo.
Above server has been placed in the main rsync.gentoo.org rotation. Can you please put it in rsync.nl.gentoo.org only. Thanks :)
Removed. Sorry about that. It was probably added when you confirmed updating rsync.

Infrastructure's fault. IP removed from rsync.gentoo.org. Thanks for the heads up! For Infra, Jeffrey
