An experimental ebuild for vtk dies in linking to python, complaining to not to
have python2.2 compiled with -fPIC
(python is currently 2.2.3, which is the last one not being ~amd64)

OK, we just need to add -fPIC to the right part of the build process where
it's missing and then send this fix upstream.

fixed by aliz a couple of days ago in 2.2.3-r5
