Comment 2 Paul Osmialowski 2010-07-02 06:10:45 UTC
I was just in the middle of upgrading to KDE4.4 when I got your comment so It took some time before I was ready to respond. Now with kde-base/konqueror-4.4.4 I could clean all history and it completed properly.

However, I'd like to ask about something else regarding konqueror: Why this is the only browser that flickers while reloading images in JavaScript (with img.src="some new URL";? That's annoying! It does not occur on xulrunner browsers.
Comment 3 Wormo (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-07-04 06:43:00 UTC
Konqueror has a different javascript engine than xulrunner browsers. So, it is not surprising if it has difference performance characteristics. I have read both Chromium and firefox have recently been paying a lot of attention to javascript performance, so it sounds like konqueror javascript is behind at the moment.

If it's too annoying, how about checking the konqueror bugs to see if it has been reported yet, and if not submit a bug?

Meanwhile, I'm going to close this bug, since the original problem has been fixed in the upgrade.
