A new version of dc-gui has been released (actually, there was yet another one before, but it seems everyone here missed it, so let's just skip it). Attached is an ebuild for it and a patch that fixes issues with db (recently reported also with earlier versions of dc-gui). The patch comes in two versions: 1st - larger, does not require autoconf and has an updated configure script, 2nd - smaller, requires autoconf. In case the second version is used changes must be made in the ebuild. Please also note the dependency on dctc-0.85.6 (and not 0.85.4, as suggested by dc-gui's author). This is correct as earlier versions of dctc have a bug that makes it impossible to download in passive mode. 0.85.6 has this bug as well, but I have created a patch that fixes it. I'll post it in a few minutes in a separate version-bump bug for dctc.
