Dirkjan, On behalf on Gentoo infra, can you decide if bug 313173 is a real showstopper here or not (and if not, add arches to this bug)? I'd like to deploy viewvw-1.1.6 on sources.gentoo.org sooner rather than later :) To me, it looks like an edge case because one person has raised the issue in the past ~3 months.
It's probably not a real showstopper, but I'm pretty surprised there are projects out there that can run on mod_wsgi-3.2 but not any earlier versions. Are we sure that's the case for viewvc-1.1.6? From reading the release notes, the viewvc website and the ticket that lead to the WSGI capability being added to viewvc (where the author of mod_wsgi got involved, as well), I'm not seeing any more stringent version requirement than 3.0+. Seems to me 3.1 would work just fine for this.
Thanks for your comment, Dirkjan. As I stated in IRC, I don't know enough about the inner workings of viewvc to determine if 3.2 is required so waiting for Arfrever's comment. I just want to make the explicit so I don't forget.
