I can't reproduce it here. Could you please attach the config.log file?
Maybe it's a ruby problem, meet this one during an emerge -e world I think the error is in this `configure` test: ----------------------------- ruby -e 'exit((VERSION or RUBY_VERSION) >= "1.6.0")' ruby: no such file to load -- auto_gem (LoadError) ----------------------------- STEPS TO FIX IT: eselect ruby list Available Ruby profiles: [1] ruby18 * eselect ruby set 1 !!! Warning: Could not set gem symlink It appears you do not have RubyGems installed for this profile. If you need RubyGems, emerge dev-ruby/rubygems with the appropriate RUBY_TARGETS setting. Successfully switched to profile: ruby18 desktop-laptop www-client # emerge -1av dev-ruby/rubygems These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! Created attachment 258669 [details] config.log This is the config.log from failed build. Emerging rubygems fixes the issue for me, so it seems to be a missing dependency problem.
Added the dependency in CVS. Francesco, Pawel: thanks for tracking this down.
