When using firefox, right after openening a link (new tab, or same tab) in few cases X freezes (frequency: approx once per day). -) This is a new behaviour that I am observing since approximately one week ago. -) Everytime it happened I had opened a link in firefox just before it. -) The mouse cursor can still be moved around -) I can log in via ssh and reboot the computer -) Nothing in OK, I just reproduced the issue after disabling all plugins 4 days ago. It is really hard to reproduce. I will cc the xorg-team. I will try to provide any additional info that might be helpful.
Could you try xf86-video-intel 2.12.0 (probably along with a newer libdrm)? Thanks
Ok, I could not reproduce this since updating libdrm and the intel driver. Let's keep it open for one more week. Do you have stable plans for a newer Xorg+friends?
Not reproducible with newer intel driver and libdrm. Please aim at stabilization. Another instance of the general observation that the X-Stack down to kernel+friends should stay in sync. At this point in x86 we have a much newer kernel stable than e.g. the intel driver.
