Description Eddahbi Karim 2003-11-01 14:26:11 UTC
So,

When I emerged the last stable gaim (0.71-r2) and even the unstable 0.72 with
the USEFLAG "ssl", my connection window crashed if I launched gaim via a Gnome's
launcher.

This problem was solved once I removed the ssl plugin and I remake my
configuration (Recreate accounts and others)

I tried to remake a configuration when I had gaim 0.72 with ssl, but it was
completely broken.

I had time to get a backtrace before removing gaim+ssl.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install gaim 0.60 with ssl, configure your accounts and generate RSA keys
2. Upgrade to gaim 0.7x and guard the SSL plugin then try to launch gaim with
Gnome (not into a terminal)
3. Try to login with account

Actual Results:
It crashes GAIM

Expected Results:
Login, even with the auto-connect

Comment 1 Alastair Tse (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-02 06:00:24 UTC
not gnome
Comment 2 Don Seiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-03 07:49:36 UTC
You might want to file a bug at http://gaim-encryption.sf.net. I'll see
if I can ask the encryption author to look at this bug here but I doubt that
this is a gentoo issue.
Comment 3 Eddahbi Karim 2003-11-03 15:13:30 UTC
Ok I'll do.
I prefer to be sure that's not a gentoo bug before file a bug report to the
software maintainer ;)
Comment 4 Don Seiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-18 06:38:42 UTC
It looks like this has been filed upstream.
