This project was shut down a couple of years ago. http://www.alessandrorossini.org/2007/11/15/znf-project-closes-why-i-abandoned-it-and-php/ I would probably drop the entire thing. The summary is quite misleading since this has nothing to do with the php version, but with their pear channel being disabled, causing pear to fail. Support for znf should probably be dropped since it no longer has an upstream. If you want to keep the package, you would have to install it without using the PEAR installer.
