This is more a feature request to the ebuild of media-gfx/pqiv than an actual bug: media-gfx/qiv and media-gfx/pqiv are blocking each other because they install by default both the same binary and man page: /usr/bin/qiv and /usr/share/man/man1/qiv.1.bz2. However, the pqiv configuration script officially supports renaming of the binary. By adding the arguments "--binary-name pqiv" to the call of configure in the ebuild, the packages no longer install the same files and the block may be dropped. A user, who only wants to install pqiv but needs the binary /usr/bin/qiv could create a symlink (or hardlink for that matter). Or better yet, the ebuild could offer a USE flag to create this symlink on it's own (and implement the block against qiv in dependence of that USE flag). Regards, Bodo

Uhm. Sorry. I meant #324913 :-)
>=pqiv-0.11 and any-version-of-qiv can now be installed on same system thanks
