In www-client/opera-10.60_pre6347 and later font rendering were somehow reworked (http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2010/06/03/unix-like-bugfixes). For me (and at least several other users) it resulted in intolerably blurry fonts. When reading blog comments (link above), it lookes like Gentoo and ArchLinux users has blurry fonts, while ubuntuers report improvements. I think it could be due to differently patched x11-libs/cairo (for me it's "+cleartype", like in ArchLinux). Could we keep 6346 snapshot in Portage tree until this issue is resolved upstream (to try new snapshots and roll back again)? Or it becomes clear that fonts are to stay that way.
6346 was gone before I saw this. Try disabling <opera:config#UserPrefs|DrawAntiAliasedFonts>.
> 6346 was gone before I saw this. It was reported after I failed to rollback from 6351 (-:E Could you bring it back? I know I could keep it in local overlay, but, well, I'm not the only Gentoo/Opera user (-:E > Try disabling <opera:config#UserPrefs|DrawAntiAliasedFonts>. Tried, restarted Opera, no visible difference )-:E
Font issue seems to be fixed in >=www-client/opera-10.60_pre6378 (at least for me), so I resolve bug as UPSTREAM. Thanks for your time.
