findcruft is a tool to find orphaned files for unmerged packages. It shows some false positives, but for most systems works well with 'grep -v -e ' and is useful, several ebuilds with different problems and obsolete versions exist in many overlay, I think it is necessary to add it in portage with appropriate warning.
