Description Andrew Tinka 2003-10-28 10:22:14 UTC
My network hardware worked fine off the LiveCD boot but didn't work at all on my
installation. Being a newbie, I did not know that "lsmod" would have let me
find out which module the LiveCD kernel was using. I knew there had to be a
command to find out what modules were loaded... I just didn't know what it was!
Mentioning "lsmod" in the Installation Guide would help newbies like me enormously.

Reproducible: Always

do you mean the hardware configuration in the gentoo-x86-install or..?
I didn't find the so call "hardware setup documentation"
it's better if you provide the exact url to ease the process

I've added this hint to the gentoo handbook, part "Installing Gentoo".
