Description Dirk Tilger 2010-05-29 19:21:20 UTC
The gd ebuild attempts to patch the build system of libgd to make it properly link against libpng-1.4. However, on my machine that led to a libgd.dylib that is not linked against libpng.

Modifications to the ebuild that made it work for me

The contained modifications made it work for me. Since the ebuild is depending on libpng 1.2 I made the 1.4 related patches optional. However, I haven't tested whether this actually works with a libpng 1.2.

Your comment about the package depending on 1.2 only is wrong. Conditional patches are not a solution.

This issue might be fixed in 2.0.35-r2 ??

I just added gd-2.0.35-r2, please confirm/deny the new results.
