Description David Holm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-28 06:21:04 UTC
Hi,
could you please add ADA_INCLUDE_PATH and ADA_OBJECTS_PATH to env_update in portage.py so that it is updated like PATH or LD_LIBRARY_PATH? (strings appended separated by ':')
Comment 1 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2003-10-28 06:26:40 UTC
have the pkg install an env.d file
Comment 2 David Holm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-28 06:36:25 UTC
It does, but every new package overwrites the entry from the previously installed
ones =(. ADA_INCLUDE_PATH=${ADA_INCLUDE_PATH:<new path> didn't work either.

Just tested:
looks like additional entries to these vars do net get added (by say copying
55booch_components to 55test in /etc/env.d), or rather the latest one owerwrites
all previous.
And yea, I ran env-update && . /etc/profile

Yes, this should have gone to carpaski, or now that aliases are in place it goes to portage team.

Hi Nick and others. Could you please add ADA_INCLUDE_PATH and ADA_OBJECTS_PATH to env_update in portage.py as requested?

George

supposed to be fixed in 2.0.50 which is stable now. If this bug is not fixed please reopen.
