Added the following to /etc/portage/package.keywords: www-client/chromium media-video/ffmpeg media-libs/x264 Then "emerge www-client/chromium" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. On Gentoo amd64, add the required packaged (masked for testing) 2. emerge www-client/chromium 3. Run chromium (Applications->Internet->Chromium if using Gnome). Extensions and 64 bit flash multimedia content also work perfectly. I think that the Chromium web browser can be added to the standard list of working packages for amd64.
Thanks for the report. This is going to happen soon, see http://phajdan-jr.blogspot.com/2010/05/www-clientchromium-soon-to-go-stable-in.html When all conditions for opening a stabilization bug are satisfied, I'm going to do it. To keep things simple, I'm going to close this bug for now.
