Arch teams, please, do.

  Hello everyone!
I'm not sure my problem is somehow related to this thread, but I have encountered incorrect behaviour of QtiPlot in some places.

For example, I cannot turn of "Keep aspect ratio" mode for 2D plots geometry. In the older versions there had been a special checkbox on a "geometry" tab in "properties" dialog window (when right clicking on the layer of 2D plot) for this. Now it is gone and both width and height change simultaneously (and no choice!).
If I try to change the state of "keep aspect ratio" checkbox on "geometry" tab in 2D plots properties window (reachable via the menu "Edit" -> "Preferences..." -> "2D Plots"), that checkbox becomes checked again when I close this window. So, there is no possibility to turn off the "Keep aspect ratio" mode for 2D plots right now.
This is terribly inconvenient. But maybe there is some kind of a solution for this issue which I just don't know about. Do you? Please, tell me about it if you do. :)

  Thanks.

Vladimir is it regression (does this works for you with currently stable version)? Also please open new bug reports in this bugzilla and upstream. Thank you!

Well, I don't even know what to answer. :) I tried to emerge both available qtiplot-0.9.7.12 and qtiplot-0.9.7.13 yesterday, but they give the same error during build:

src/origin/importOPJ.cpp:1543: error: 'struct Origin::GraphAxis' has no member named 'label'

So I cannot try the previous version. Should I open new bugs for all these issues?

  Hello again!
  Here are some news.
I had to roll back to sci-libs/liborigin-20090406 for qtiplot-0.9.7.12 to build successfully.
In QtiPlot-0.9.7.12 the situation is following:

In the menu "Edit" -> "Preferences..." -> "2D plots" -> "Geometry" I still cannot change the state of "Keep aspect ratio" checkbox. Well, I can change it, but it turns on again after closing this window.

When right-clicking on the layer of a plot, and choosing "Properties..." -> "Geometry", there IS a checkbox "keep aspect ratio" which may be checked or unchecked "for a session". I mean that I can uncheck it, then change the width or height separately (which is very good) and then close this dialog window. The "keep aspect ratio" checkbox becomes checked again, but the size of a layer is already changed as I need, so I can still do what I need this way. Although it is not too comfortable either.

So, this is definitely a problem of QtiPlot-0.9.7.14 (I'll check also qtiplot-0.9.7.13 if I have enough time).

Ok, let's fix regression first and then we'll readd archs. Vladimir I've created new bug report, so please, post all following comments there. Thank you.
Comment 7 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-07-05 19:33:56 UTC
Arches, please go ahead. Runtime is fine here and regression bug is fixed.
Comment 8 Andreas Schürch gentoo-dev 2010-07-06 13:46:28 UTC
I tested =sci-visualization/qtiplot-0.9.7.14 together with it's keyworded dep sci-libs/liborigin-20100420 on x86.
Both packages seem to be flawless and ready to go.

Comment 9 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-07-07 01:49:13 UTC
Justin I guess we need to stabilize -r1 as all problems were fixed there. Am I correct? If yes, could you update subject, please.
Comment 10 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-07-07 06:20:12 UTC
Oh stupid me, I forgot to change it. Of course -r1 is now the one to go stable.
Comment 11 Andreas Schürch gentoo-dev 2010-07-08 08:04:44 UTC
okok, also the -r1 version seems to be ready here on x86.
Comment 12 Vladimir 2010-07-08 11:53:14 UTC
Have anybody checked the strange behaviour described in bug #327473 in relation to qtiplot-0.9.7.14-r1 ?
