Description Andreas Schürch gentoo-dev 2010-05-18 13:47:20 UTC
I've got this with =sys-apps/parted-2.2 and current stable 1.9.0 on x86.

As this isn't a regression, i haven't added a blocker for the stablereq Bug #316453

Please post your `emerge --info', relevant information about the filesystem you're building the package on and perhaps any relevant syslog/dmesg information pertaining to the problem. Also attach the entire build log.

build.log with sandbox violation

There is nothing special in dmesg and in /var/log/messages
It is an ext3 partition.
Afaics it just tries to make a hardlink, which sandbox doesn't like!

I don't see why sandbox would disallow that. Maybe it's a good idea to also attach your /etc/sandbox.conf
Comment 4 Andreas Schürch gentoo-dev 2010-05-21 05:53:43 UTC
I think there's nothing special with my sandbox config.

# cat /etc/sandbox.conf | grep -v ^#
SANDBOX_WRITE="/dev/fd:/proc/self/fd"
SANDBOX_WRITE="/dev/zero:/dev/null:/dev/full"
SANDBOX_WRITE="/dev/console:/dev/tty:/dev/vc/:/dev/pty:/dev/tts"
SANDBOX_WRITE="/dev/pts/:/dev/shm"
SANDBOX_WRITE="/tmp/:/var/tmp/"
SANDBOX_WRITE="${HOME}/.bash_history"

# cat /etc/sandbox.d/00default | grep -v ^#
SANDBOX_READ="/"
SANDBOX_WRITE="${SANDBOX_WORKDIR}"
SANDBOX_WRITE="/usr/tmp/conftest:/usr/lib/conftest:/usr/lib32/conftest:/usr/lib64/conftest:/usr/tmp/cf:/usr/lib/cf:/usr/lib32/cf:/usr/lib64/cf"
SANDBOX_PREDICT="${HOME}"

Comment 5 Andreas Schürch gentoo-dev 2010-06-01 12:36:59 UTC
Somehow my sandbox got screwed and had generally problems when a package tried to do filesystem links for whatever reason....

A recompile of sandbox resolved the issue for me. :-)
