^^ group portage is a Good Thing(tm).
maybe even group qpkg and group portage.

hmm... I'm not clear on why that would be, all the files it uses to do it's
stuff are user readable... shouldn't be a problem...  Although I don't think
much of anyone would object to us making it root:wheel 750

How would that suit you?
