Please could somebody make a new e-build for the latest Gcompris: 
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gcompris/gcompris-4.0.tar.gz?use_mirror=heanet 
It will be much appeciated by many many children.

For anybody if you want it to work with duch than this you have to run under
root after the emerge
localedef -i nl_NL -c -f UTF-8 nl_NL
