We set GPL-2 as license but according to some of the mail that reached netmon@g.o recently, that's being disputed by Debian's packagers. It appears that [1] is no longer available anyway, except on mirrors, and it probably isn't disputed at all. The list of disputed tarballs probably includes every SRC_URI download except the -gentoo one: imagepak-andrade.tar.gz imagepak-base.tar.gz imagepak-bernhard.tar.gz imagepak-didier.tar.gz imagepak-remus.tar.gz imagepak-satrapa.tar.gz imagepak-werschler.tar.gz [1]http://dev.gentoo.org/~eldad/distfiles/imagepak-gentoo.tar.bz2
Some more notes: + When trying to download these files using ebuild(1) and with GENTOO_MIRRORS="", all the mirror://sourceforge SRC_URI parts are still valid. + Also, it appears we've been pointing to these SRC_URI parts since the early separate nagios-imagepack ebuild[1]. + It looks like the andrade, base, didier, remus, satrapa and wershler images are still distributed by nagios itself at [2], where even *our* gentoo images are distributed. + So all in all for Gentoo this isn't as much an issue with distributing the images as such, but about the LICENSE variable in the ebuild. + Inspection of the imagepak-andrade[3] package at the Nagios Exchange reveals that in all this time not a single file was changed, not even the included PaintShop Pro image browser cache file. Updating assignee/CC per metadata.xml. Can this just be package.masked? All new versions of nagios (3.3.x and up) block it and I suspect it will be entirely unusable soon.
I'm just gonna mask this for removal if nobody objects.
In the absence of comment from the proxy maintainer, I'm going to go ahead and say go for it.
